...there were no quality restaurants in Mombasa, Kenyan born Chris Seex who was managing a resort Hotel at the time had a dream to create Africa’s finest seafood restaurant. He designed the Mombasa Tamarind. With high arches, the elegant white building is a throwback to a bygone Arab era, offering the perfect setting.
Tamarind Mombasa can cater for large groups, corporate dinners and cocktail parties. We will tailor a menu to suit your tastes. Attached to the restaurant includes a private dining room that seats up to 25 guests for meetings, dinners and company celebrations. The lawn outside overlooking the old town is ideal for cocktail receptions.
Amazing sushi boat and awesome view! Food was top notch and perfect cooked. We enjoyed the portion size for the cost. Very good drinks and lots of selection. The chefs specials were very good too! Next time we will take the dinner cruise.
Excellent service, food. The view is beautiful. When there for early dinner and enjoyed sunset. It is on the expensive side, but worth it. The portions are really big, or at least they were for me - I wasn’t able to finish
Food was great I got the grilled lobster and it tasted really good with the lemon butter. Free garlic bread, chips (crisps) and peanuts, great lava cake. Service was good, but not extraordinary. Nice atmosphere next to ocean, bathroom has air conditioning. Overall 5 stars
