As an Entertainment Intern/Creative at the Carnivore, your mission is to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of entertainment management, focusing on creating immersive, engaging, and high-quality entertainment experiences for our patrons. You will play a crucial role in bringing fresh ideas and innovative concepts to life, supporting the Entertainment Supervisor and Manager in reimagining the entertainment landscape of the venue.
Key Areas of Focus:
Creative Conceptualization:
Assist in brainstorming and developing new themes, concepts, and entertainment strategies that align with current trends and audience preferences. Contribute creative ideas for monthly home-grown concerts, festivals, and special events.
Technical Support:
Gain hands-on experience in setting up and managing sound, lighting, and other technical aspects of entertainment. Learn to troubleshoot technical issues to ensure seamless execution of events.
Event Coordination:
Support the planning and execution of entertainment programs, from inception to completion. Work closely with performers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of events are effectively coordinated.
Marketing and Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and create engaging content for social media and other platforms.Help gather feedback from attendees to gauge event success and areas for improvement.
Learning and Development:
Engage in continuous learning opportunities to master entertainment software (e.g., Pioneer CDJs, Serato, Mix Emergency, Acid Pro), and understand the technicalities of sound and lighting systems. Develop skills in video/music production, MCeeing, and other relevant areas to enhance your versatility in the entertainment field.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of creative entertainment concepts and themes.
Support in technical setups for events, including sound, lighting, and cabling, under the supervision of the Entertainment Supervisor.
Engage in marketing and promotional activities to highlight upcoming events.
Coordinate with performers to ensure their technical and logistic needs are fulfilled.
Learn and assist with the operation of entertainment software and technical equipment, focusing on DJ tools and sound/lighting systems.
Participate in the maintenance, organization, and troubleshooting of entertainment assets and equipment.
Collect feedback from patrons to inform improvements in future entertainment offerings.
Skills and Abilities
Creative thinking and an innovative approach to entertainment.
Basic knowledge of and interest in DJ software (e.g., Serato, Mix Emergency, Acid Pro), sound and lighting systems.
Eagerness to learn technical aspects of event setup, including sound setup, cabling, and lighting.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, capable of working well in a team environment.
Passionate about entertainment, with a particular interest in music, sports entertainment, and event management.
Video/music production skills and MCeeing ability are considered advantageous.
