Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Assistance Maintenance supervisor who will primarily be responsible for the corrective and preventive maintenance activities associated with the efficient operations of the maintenance department with the highest possible professional standards with Tamarind Management Limited policies, procedures and standards established to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe working arena for Maintenance personnel and that safety standards are met in accordance with company policy, and County regulations.
- Coordinate the daily and weekly operation of the Maintenance Department.
- Work closely with the Maintenance personnel to ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner
- Works closely with other departmental personnel to maintain production equipment, electrical, gas, plumbing etc. in order to ensure that tasks are completed in a planned and coordinated fashion.
- Understand maintenance cost drivers and promote cost effective solutions amongst maintenance personnel.
- Assist and provide guidance to the Maintenance team to resolve HR related issues.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in developing short to mid-term maintenance plans, ensures the highest planned work compliance.
- Understand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each maintenance employee in order to select, train, and provide guidance and inspiration through leadership and teamwork to ensure empowered work teams.
- Review deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance, properly channel these issues toward execution.
- Maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items and surplus items.
- Consult with general artisans and craftworkers on technical problems.
- Ensure proper tool availability in order to improve the maintenance efficiency
- Assist Maintenance Manager in developing and executing major maintenance overhauls and outages
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in gas, plumbing, electrical and equipment repair.
- Must have previous supervisory experience.
- Effective communication skills to influence all levels of personnel and to create change.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to influence safety practices and initiatives.
- Ability to work as a team member with strong time management and record keeping skills.
- Must have knowledge of industrial plant mechanical and welding concepts/applications.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Keen eye to details.
