The inaugural Taste Awards at Tribe Hotel recognised local dining and entertainment in Nairobi in 26 Categories. The Tamarind Group came away with four awards, affirming the high standards set by the group. Under the prestige awards, The “taste most innovative experience (restaurant or bar) was won by The Carnivore. The remaining 3 awards were under the People’s choice award, which the Carnivore won 2: The Best East African Award presented by Up Magazine and The People’s choice Category went to The Carnivore’s Simba Saloon which won the Elianto Award for The Best Family Experience – a testament to it’s lively atmosphere, delicious food, kiddies menu and popular childen’s playground. The final award was won by Tamambo Bar and Grill for Best Continental/Grill
