The Carnivore is in its 34th year and still maintains the reputation as the ultimate 'Beast of a Feast'. Since its opening in 1980 The Carnivore has gone through a series of evolutions.
Originating as a medium size nyama choma restaurant with a theatrical flair, the Main Restaurant has continued growing from strength to strength and has served over 3.5 million meals in its time.
THE SIMBA SALOON
The Simba Saloon has undergone a dramatic refurbishment with new bars, décor, furniture, sound and lights. The children’s playground has also been rebuilt to provide Nairobi’s youngest community with fine playground facilities.
Initially a family snack restaurant by day and night club and discothèque by night, The Simba now hosts concerts, elaborate cultural nights and Churchill’s weekly televised chat/comedy show. Both the Carnivore and the Simba are the market leaders in hosting corporate functions, weddings and exhibitions.
No longer in the CBD Tamarind Nairobi has relocated to Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and is open for dinner every day and for lunch by special request. With its quiet elegant atmosphere twinkling brass hanging lamps and sea blue finish, it offers an elegant sophisticated atmosphere with the finest seafood in Nairobi.
Tamambo Karen has undergone a refurbishment and the bar now opens out to a new stylishly laid back shisha lounge. Moreover There are regular weekly events with live music in the bar on Fridays, and happy hour from 6.30 to 8pm. Free Wifi is also available around the property.
The Tamarind in Mombasa has been unchallenged as the coastal city’s favourite restaurant for more than 40 years.
A series of renovations have taken place, refreshing the restaurant and transforming the bar terrace into a fabulous new sushi and cocktail lounge known at as the Clifftop Terrace, open for delicious sushi and snack meals.
